One Thing

Okay, look. I know I'm young, but that doesn't mean I have to want to be. And I know when I'm old I will want to be young. But I am young and want to be older. Will we ever just be happy with the way things are? Why do we always want things to change? I am always, ALWAYS escaping into other worlds. What's wrong with the one I'm in, the one that's already mine? I'm not sure, but apparently there's something I don't like. Or else I wouldn't want to escape; I'd want to stay where I am.

Heh. It's amazing how much one thing can completely take over and control our lives. Apparently, one thing makes all the difference. One thing and I will be happy. One thing and I will be content with where I am. One thing and the world will be a better place. One thing, one thing that it seems will never come.

Geesh...some people...

Okay, I read someone's Facebook status the other day. It was blasphemous! Here, I'll share it with you.

"avatar is seriously THE WORST movie ever made.. i still don't get how people like to watch it its AWFUL!!! i saw it once and that was one too many!! yuck."

WHAT?! How can this be? I...I just don't understand! And people kept commenting on it saying how they agree and how they walked out of the theater. Who are these people? I LOVED Avatar! LOVED! And I went into it thinking I was going to hate it. Closed mind and yet I still loved it to death. It's different truly, but what movies nowadays aren't?

It can't be the worst movie! Look at the stats!

Avatar’s production budget was $300 million
Global marketing and distribution costs are $175 million
Avatar will gross $650 million at the US box office
Avatar will gross $1.95 billion worldwide during its theatrical run
After movie theaters get their take, Fox will get $942 million
Home video sales will be worth another $420 million in revenue
Game licensing and development will bring in an additional $70 million
Fox Studio’s total revenues will exceed $1.56 billion
James Cameron will get $320 million ~ 20% of studio revenues
Fox Studios and its investors will generate a net profit of $700 million

And that's just the money side!
Let's see if we can find some people reviews and thoughts.

"AWESOME, simply AMAZING, VISUAL delight. Not a big story but making you believe what was shown is something extraordinary which I think Cameron completely succeeded. Hats off!! Can't stop prasing this film and I have already become a word-of-mouth for the ultimate experience watching the film."

AMEN

"This movie was beyond amazing, sadly most people leave out really the true story behind this film. Its more then FX and cool scenes. The story about the Na'vi and the intrusion of Human soldiers to there world, for a mineral there planet produces Cameron does great story telling in this movie. Won't go into details cuz of spoilers but look at the film for the sub-meaning if you think about it man kind has been taking over land and robbing it of its resources for centuries. I will hopefully go see it in 3D again next weekend, oh by the way SPEND the extra money for 3D its worth it! The environments and the plants. just wow! great visionary work this movie will win Animation awards and others this coming season."

HECK YES!

People just don't know what they are talking about. Plus, almost all the people who didn't like it had grammatical errors in their comments, therefore disqualified.
Avatar is FLIPPING AMAZING and is kicking Titanic out of the top spot.
Tell me what you think? I'm curious. I thought everyone loved it but apparently not. Did you?

And...OH MY HECK OH MY HECK! AVATAR 2! ITS TRUE ITS TRUE! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1630029/ NO FREAKING WAY!!

People better like this one....or I may riot.

Europay!!! Again!

So, freaking guess what! A few days ago, I had an interview with one of the English professors here at BYUI. The interview was to see if I would be accepted for something called the British Literary Tour. It's basically study abroad. We have classes, which we do most of the work before the trip, then we go to Europe; Ireland, England, and France.

I WAS ACCEPTED! I am going this spring! I'm going to places like the Bronte parsonage and Jane Austen's house. Sherwood Forest, Stonehenge, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Globe Theatre, Westminster Abbey, Versailles, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and much, MUCH more!!! I am so FREAKING excited!!!

It's Cruel Really

Can I just say, chick flicks should be forever banned. Yeah, they are fun for us girls. They make us laugh, cry, swoon...but is it really worth it? Is it really worth the afterwards? I am not so sure. I mean we watch the movie and then we wish, and hope, we think, we pray that something like that would happen to us, that we will find a guy exactly like the gorgeous dude on the screen, that it would be so perfect, so amazingly romantic!

Here's the thing, though. It doesn't happen like that. It NEVER happens like that. Chick flicks just get our hopes up for something that I'm not sure exists. It's like those Barbie dolls on billboards and in magazines. We see them and strive to have that, but it's not real!

I went to see You Again with my roommate tonight. It was really cute. I loved the movie. Two thumbs up. But something I might have loved more than the movie....the actors. Holy Face! Especially Sean Wing.

Freak!

Chick flicks are mean. So, so mean.

DIE, DRAMA! DIE!

I thought I would be leaving drama when I left high school, but alas that has not happened. In the beginning all was well. All of my roommates got along and we were having a blast! And then, that fateful day, when all H broke lose. ALL H!

Please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason. One day, I came home from classes and C1 was not talking to C2. Then C1 had a mental breakdown (super duper homesick with the world against her). J came in and asked if C1 was crying because of C2 that pissed C1 off. She yelled at J to shut up and that it had nothing to do with her and J got mad. Now its C2 and J against C1.

Personally, I think it's STUPID. I lean a bit more to C1's side but ONLY because she is my direct roommate, as in we literally share a room. I have to be on her side more. But I think they are all wrong. They refuse to talk, to figure it out, to even be polite. I have tried to convince them otherwise and C1 said she'd talk and be polite but she could not be friends again....WHY THE FREAK NOT!!? NOTHING HAPPENED! YOU ARE ALL JUST BEING RIDICULOUS! I WOULD UNDERSTAND IF THEY REALLY STABBED YOU IN THE BACK OR SOMETHING THAT YOU DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM THEM BUT THEY DIDNT!!! FREEEEAAAK!!! Now they are starting to take things out of the kitchen and closets that are theirs so no one else can use them. Children. Freaking children....I hate drama.

Okay, on a happier note. BOYS. There this one kid in my English class, J. I can't really tell if I like him or not. You see, all the hott guys here are taken. No really, ALL. I see one. I think "Ooo." Wedding ring. I see another. I think "Ahh!" Has a girl by the hand. It never fails. But this kid in my class is not bad. I have no idea if he is single and I have only talked to him a couple times, but he's an option.

There's another kid who's in my science group. He's pretty cute and when he talks to the whole group he only looks at me. He is also on my list; there is just one problem. His initials are KK...my first name begins with a K. If...something happens (;) my initials would be KK...uh...yeeeeah.

I want to write more. Any suggestions? Give me story ideas and I will write them! Also, I need to find a way to make this blog more...readable. Like talk about something sort of specific. Did you know people have made a living off of blogs!? Hmm...maybe I'll start a new one for that. This one is more of a me and my life. Not something people would want to read about. Man, I have two already...one more can't hurt. :)

Thanks for letting me vent.

Later.

I don't know. I wish someone would come up with a name for emotions. There are still so many that have yet to be identified, named. So, i don't know what it is. It's a mixture of happy, sad, confused, upset, excited, and bored. What is that called?
College is pretty great. I love my room mates. The classes are fairly easy though the homework always takes forever. I do so many more social things than I did in high school. It's fun. Everyone should go to college, more specifically BYUI. It's AWESOME!

It's been so long since I last blogged and so much has happened and yet I have nothing to say...I don't know. I just don't know how my brain works anymore. Maybe I should just...leave.

Warm. Enliven. Inspire. FIRE!

I finally got my hair cut the way I've been thinking up for months. I wanted something different. Something that could possibly make me look older...or at least my age. I think I have succeeded but then again I never thought I looked 16. I have front bangs! I had side-swept bangs for over four years and now it's different. I have to try really hard not to flick my head to the side. It's a habit I must grow out of. The bangs take some getting used to. I didn't constantly have hair in my eyes before. Now I do. Also, it's a bit shorter. About 4 or 5 inches shorter. And a lot more layered. I really like it. Maybe I could sneak into a bar now!! And order myself some chocolate milk!

Not many girls at the age of 18 can say they've been on a business trip. I have. And I never ever ever want to go back. My hours went from 4 to 11 to 14 to 17 hours a day. They gave us no breaks to sit down, only 30 minutes to eat (which it took 15 minutes to walk somewhere to eat). Our feet were killing all of us! Aching and throbbing! There are a lot of smokers in Denver and some of the guys there should try not to subconsciously follow girls around. It tends to freak them out!! (My new friend and I were walking back to the hotel at about 1 in the morning. It was a bit scary. All the weirdos were out.) The temps hired were also very intimidating. Some were super helpful and I wanted to keep them. Others wouldn't do anything and were pulling out their gang banger switch blades to open boxes!!!! Gah! The Scentsy Consultants are...crazy. :) They were fun though. At least most of them were. Some care to much about the little details. They get angry easily if they don't get something or if we dont know the answer. I don't get it. Heidi and Orville (founders) are always talking about generosity, giving more than you take, not feeling like you are entitled to anything etc. And then I go through the Scentsy Success store and find empty packages (stolen goods) and people saying that because they are Superstar Directors they should get free stuff and be given more things than others. Um...ENTITLEMENT!! Seriously? It made me sick. Heidi and Orville are amazing. Never doing anything for themselves. Always giving back. And yet people steal! Right after going to General Session and listening to Heidi talk about inspiring good!

I was in charge of games and had a bunch of my stuff taken. The consultants got really into it though. At one point I spent three hours spinning a cardboard bottle and handing out free stuff. There was a massive crowd around me. I was beginning to get claustrophobic! Although I hated some parts of going to convention i did meet a lot of great new people and I now how good this experience was for me. I am almost completely over shyness! I was totally myself with the temps, the coworkers i didn't know, the consultants etc.! (pretty much every time i meet new people they mention something about my eyes. Yes! i know my eyes are large and expressive!!! Stop bugging me about it!) I am so glad to be home. It's over. I can breathe.

Breathe in smoke! When I came home I heard about the Highway 16 fire in our area. There are hills surrounding my area that are nothing but dry sheet grass and weeds. Lightening struck the ground and caught the back hills on fire. 4800 acres burned. 3 houses were completely destroyed, only chimneys left standing. Many were evacutated. Everything is black. The sky was dark in the middle of the day. It didnt come by my house but it could have. Some of those hills are my backyard! My family could see the flames from our house. They were about 6 miles away. No one was hurt or injured and neither were any animals but the hills are black. And three familys no longer have homes and have lost everything. It was intense. I should give them my clothes. I have too many items anyway.
